Samantha Mosser is President and Chief Executive Officer of Bankers Trust, a role she assumed in July 2026. She was named President in 2025 and joined the bank’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee the same year.

Samantha joined Bankers Trust in 2022 as Nebraska Market President, where she played a pivotal role in expanding the bank’s presence in the market. Under her leadership, the Nebraska operation grew from a small loan production office with average earning assets of approximately $280 million in 2021 to a full-service banking location with assets exceeding $850 million today. With nearly 30 years of commercial banking experience, including more than 15 years in senior and executive leadership roles, she has built a reputation for driving strategic growth, developing high-performing teams, and cultivating strong client relationships.

Prior to joining Bankers Trust, Samantha served as President and a board member of a Nebraska-based community bank and as Omaha Market President for a large regional bank. In addition to her banking career, she has served as an adjunct professor at Nebraska Wesleyan University, teaching courses in macroeconomics, microeconomics, and money and banking.

Samantha holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Nebraska Omaha and a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in public relations from Nebraska Wesleyan University.

A recognized business and community leader, Samantha is a graduate of Leadership Omaha Class 29 and has received numerous honors throughout her career, including Midlands Business Journal’s 40 Under 40, Nebraska Wesleyan University’s Young Alumni Loyalty Award, the Women’s Center for Advancement’s Tribute to Women recognition, Inspire’s Excellence in Business Award and Woman of the Year finalist distinction, and metroMagazine’s inaugural Game Changer Award.

Samantha is deeply committed to community engagement and regional economic development. She currently serves on the board and executive committee of the Greater Des Moines Partnership and participates on its Regional Transportation Roundtable, is a member of the Greater Des Moines Committee, and a member of the Des Moines AM Rotary where she is a Paul Harris Fellow.

Prior to relocating to Des Moines, she held numerous leadership roles in the Omaha community, serving on the boards of Lamp Rynearson, Association for Corporate Growth Nebraska, NACD Heartland, Business Ethics Alliance, Children’s Nebraska, Community Alliance, Child Saving Institute, and the Greater Omaha Chamber, among others. She also served as a Councillor for the Aksarben Foundation and was a board member of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) Nebraska.

Samantha and her husband, Mitch, are the proud parents of three sons: Neal, Major, and Maddux.

Dr. Susan D. Stuebner began service as interim president on July 28, 2025, and was appointed Simpson’s 26th president on Nov. 25, 2025. 

During her first year at Simpson, President Stuebner oversaw the completion of the $3.1 million Fiterman Training Center for gymnastics, as well as the $10 million renovation of Pfeiffer Dining Hall and Lauridsen Great Hall. Under her leadership, the Simpson Fund achieved a record total and overall giving was the second highest in school history. In Fall 2026, Simpson welcomed its largest class in the past ten years. 

Throughout her career in higher education, Stuebner’s professional passion has centered on ensuring the accessibility and sustainability of private, regional, liberal arts colleges. Prior to Simpson, she served as president and professor of Business and Social Sciences at Colby-Sawyer College in New London, N.H., for eight years. During her tenure, Stuebner introduced and implemented two strategic plans, doubled the endowment, achieved two of the highest fundraising years in the institution’s history, established a significant partnership with Dartmouth Health that resulted in numerous new graduate and professional programs, and guided the college through the COVID-19 pandemic. She concluded her time at Colby-Sawyer as an adviser to Interim President Dr. Laura Sykes during the 2024-25 academic year.

Stuebner also held roles as executive vice president and chief operating officer at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pa. Additionally, she spent 10 years at Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pa., where she provided key leadership through a growing breadth of senior administrative roles — culminating with her appointment as vice president for Administration and Planning. Her early career days included roles as freshman proctor for Harvard University in Cambridge, Ma. and admissions counselor and head women’s basketball coach at Albright College in Reading, Pa. She spent five years as a teaching fellow at Harvard’s Graduate School of Education for courses focused on financial management, qualitative research, and governance.

Stuebner also continues to serve a wide variety of vital higher education concerns at the national, regional, and local levels. She is a member of the Board of Directors for the Iowa Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (IAICU) and on the Presidents Council for the American Rivers Conference. She served on the National Collegiate Association of Athletics Division III Presidents Advisory Group and completed a term on the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC) board of directors. Her previous service also includes on the Executive Committee for the New Hampshire College and University Council (NHCUC), Commissioner on the NH Department of Education Commission on Higher Education and Corporator for Mascoma Bank. She has chaired evaluation teams for New England Commission on Higher Education (NECHE) site visits and has served as a member eleven visiting teams for the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. 

Stuebner earned her A.B. in psychology from Dartmouth College. She completed her graduate work at Harvard University Graduate School of Education earning an Ed.M. in administration, planning and social policy and an Ed.D. in higher education. 

A native of Deephaven, Minn., Stuebner is pleased to be back in the Midwest. She is a proud stepparent to Gabrielle and Tyler and “Gran Sue” to Parker and Avery. She also enjoys being an aunt and great aunt to her nieces and nephews. Outside of her professional life, Stuebner enjoys spending time with her labradoodle, Flint, and is a devoted fan of the New England Patriots.
