Workforce Readiness

Based upon employment market trends, this committee will foster partnerships with community organizations to help connect and engage Iowa’s future workforce with colleges, apprenticeships, vocational skill training offerings and employers as they prepare to enter the workforce.

The Workforce Readiness Committee has spent the last year building relationships with local organizations that work with high-school and middle-school age students to keep students informed of workforce and after-high school opportunities. This committee also assists these organizations and the populations they serve through mock interviews, resume critiques and classroom presentations.
